Now I dress like this!!

Gone are the days when the bartender offers service to the person standing directly behind me as I squeeze up to the bar for a drink – his eyes just a degree out of alignment with mine.  Mothers no longer’ pull their toddlers near as I pass them by in the grocery isle, shielding them from my disheveled aura.  Since sporting my new look I’ve had library fines waived and traffic cops give me the right-o-way.  I asked a man for the time and he gave me his watch.  You see…wearing a suit makes you feel differently, the kind of differently that makes you go forth with more confidence.  This confident behavior feels good – and looks good on anyone – a shine of self-purpose glows about the well-dressed.  And when you feel and look good, life is good.  Wise men know:   life is better when you’re in a suit.

CANCELLED! – SUN, FEB 19, Brad Roy Residence, 8026 SE Mill ST (between Stark & Division) 10am-4pm.    After two highly successful Suit Soiree events in Port Townsend and four in Seattle, we think we have just about all the suit orders we can handle for this year!  After all, we’re only overseas for 30 days!  Alas, if you have your heart set on getting a suit this year, email or call us and we can walk you through the steps remotely.   Many of our out-of-area clients work with us this way, why not you!

In an effort to bring the threads closer to you, and you closer to the threads, Dan and Melissa will be hosting several Suit Soirees! These poly-occasional events are usually planned for winter – during January and February. We plan on visiting Portland, Seattle and Port Townsend. Can’t make a Suit Soiree but still want a suit?, contact us about how to get your measurements done and we can discuss your style over the phone. Suit Soirees consist of Dan bringing several of his fly suits that he’s had made in years past. Melissa brings her wool coat collection for women. Seeing their threads gives a good idea of the different cuts and materials available for order. RubyThreads Suits specializes in formal or funky. Dan and Melissa will be equipped with order forms and measuring tapes to get the ball rolling on your new set of fine threads. Half down’s all that’s necessary to get your order underway. Visa/MC and Discover are accepted to enable purchasing ease.

Suit Soiree! invitations are sent to our friends and other hip folks we know that would appreciate a nice-fitting suit. In an effort to give every attendee our full attention, we’ll be scheduling sizing times throughout the events, so let us know a good time for you, or you and your group and we’ll schedule you for optimal service attentiveness. Guys’ partners are encouraged to attend and help their fella order the perfect suit.Women’s coats are a sub-specialty of RubyThreads, so we’ll be displaying several nice wool coats in varying lengths, several with custom silk linings with folding cuffs to reveal the silk when folded back…super nice.

 

Dress to impress – wise men know!

Gordon is looking dapper in his medium weight gray cashmere with bubble-gum pinstripes and raw silk tie.  Gordon likes the way people get off the sidewalk when he’s walking their way.  The word “sir” works its way to the tip of people’s tongues when he engages them in conversation.  The teller at the checkout counter offers him a bag with his purchase.  “Life is good when you’re in pinstripes!,” says Gordon.

Adam just rocked his 20 year high school reunion with this classic black 3-button cashmere.  He requested custom pockets on the inside for extra flask capacity and a business card holder. Needless to say, old schoolmates who hadn’t seen Adam for a while were guessing that he was a government agent or a nightclub owner by the way he looked…thanks to his RubyThreads Suit that he picked up at last winter’s Suit Soiree in Portland.

 

Adam doesn’t need to worry about his future prospects as he steps off the boat looking like this.
