In an effort to bring the threads closer to you, and you closer to the threads, Dan and Melissa will be hosting several Suit-Ordering Events!  Usually held every February and September in Seattle and Port Townsend, they are a great way to get your hands on some fabric samples and to see up-close some of the quality suits we’ve been getting made.  Can’t make a Suit-Ordering Event but still want a suit?, contact us about how to get your measurements and we can get your order in via the web.

Suit-Ordering Events consist of Dan bringing several of his fly suits that he’s had made in years past. Melissa brings her wool coat collection for women. Seeing their threads gives a good idea of the different cuts and materials available for order.   Dan and Melissa will be equipped with order forms and measuring tapes and lots of answers to your questions.  Half down’s all that’s necessary to get your order underway.  Visa/MC and Discover are accepted to enable purchasing ease.  Whether formal or funky, we’re your local go-to source for your custom clothing needs.

Suit Soiree! invitations are sent to our friends and other hip folks we know that would appreciate some nice-fitting custom apparel. In an effort to give every attendee our full attention, we’ll be scheduling sizing times throughout the events, so let us know a good time for you, or you and your group and we’ll schedule you for optimal service attentiveness. Women’s coats are a sub-specialty of RubyThreads, so we’ll be displaying several nice wool coats in varying lengths, several with custom silk linings with folding cuffs to reveal the silk when folded back…super nice.

Dress to impress – wise men know!

Gordon is looking dapper in his medium weight gray cashmere with bubble-gum pinstripes and raw silk tie.  Gordon likes the way people get off the sidewalk when he’s walking their way.  The word “sir” works its way to the tip of people’s tongues when he engages them in conversation.  The teller at the checkout counter offers him a bag with his purchase.  “Life is good when you’re in pinstripes!,” says Gordon.

Adam just rocked his 20 year high school reunion with this classic black 3-button cashmere.  He requested custom pockets on the inside for extra flask capacity and a business card holder. Needless to say, old schoolmates who hadn’t seen Adam for a while were guessing that he was a government agent or a nightclub owner by the way he looked…thanks to his RubyThreads Suit that he picked up at last winter’s Suit Soiree in Portland.

 

Adam doesn’t need to worry about his future prospects as he steps off the boat looking like this.
